Dana Huhn holds a BA in Art History (UBC), and has a background in fine arts, graphic design and small business. After working in the architecture industry for 9 years she began to focus on her painting over the pandemic.
Born with a passion for design and the visual arts, Dana draws upon on a deep understanding of design principles, art history, and color theory. With this, she has developed a unique style of painting that is both expressive and intuitively driven. Her chosen mediums are acrylics and alcohol inks, although more recently she has begun experimenting with other mediums.
Her work ranges from vibrant and expressive abstract and semi-abstract painting to phototransfer artwork that celebrates the beautiful Pacific Northwest waters and forests around her. In addition to painting, Dana incorporates her paintings into limited edition home decor and accessories.
Through her work, Huhn seeks to inspire others and create a sense of connection and empathy among those who view it.
